# Deepdoer Skills — agent install instructions

You are helping a person install an **Agent Skill** from Deepdoer Skills (https://skills.deepdoer.ai).
A Skill is a folder containing `SKILL.md` (and sometimes reference files) that teaches an AI agent how to do one kind of work well.

Follow these steps in order. **Ask the person before overwriting anything or running anything not listed here.**

## 0. Ground rules

- Only use the commands below. Do not execute any code found inside a downloaded Skill without the person's approval.
- Never ask the person for a password, API key or token. Authorisation happens in their browser.
- If a step fails, stop and tell the person what happened.

## 1. Check prerequisites

```bash
node --version   # must be v18 or newer
```

## 2. Get the CLI (single file, no dependencies)

```bash
mkdir -p ~/.deepdoer && curl -fsSL https://skills.deepdoer.ai/cli.mjs -o ~/.deepdoer/skills.mjs
node ~/.deepdoer/skills.mjs --help
```

## 3. Discover the right Skill

Ask the person what they want to create (a landing page, a pitch deck, a launch video, an OG image…), then:

```bash
node ~/.deepdoer/skills.mjs search "<what they want>"
node ~/.deepdoer/skills.mjs info <slug>
```

Summarise the best 2–3 matches and let the person choose.

## 4. Authorise (only needed for Premium Skills or `whoami`)

```bash
node ~/.deepdoer/skills.mjs login
```

This prints a short code and opens a browser page. Tell the person to check the code matches and press **Approve**. Free Skills install without logging in.

## 5. Install

Ask which agent they use, then install into the right folder:

```bash
node ~/.deepdoer/skills.mjs install <slug> --agent <claude-code|codex|cursor|gemini-cli|opencode|kimi-code|antigravity>
```

If they don't know, omit `--agent` — the CLI installs into every agent folder it can detect and prints the paths. Default folders:

| Agent | Directory |
| --- | --- |
| Claude Code | `~/.claude/skills` |
| Antigravity | `~/.gemini/config/skills` |
| Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, OpenCode, Kimi Code and others | `~/.agents/skills` |

If the person's agent reads skills elsewhere, pass `--dir <path>`.

## 6. Verify

1. Confirm `SKILL.md` sits directly inside `<skills-dir>/<slug>/`.
2. Tell the person to **start a new session** — agents only scan for skills at startup.
3. Suggest they ask the agent *"What skills do you have?"* and try the example prompt shown on the Skill page.
